Reframing in the Attic for Relocated Kitchen Stove Vent: July 2007

When we remodeled the kitchen we moved the stove 30 inches to the left.  Moving the vent for the stove was not as easy.  First, it was hard to get into the attic.  Second, their was no light or power.  Third, it was hot.

The cut off stud in the foreground was due to the original stove vent.  Relocating the vent meant I had to cut the second stud.  I did all of the reframing with a handsaw, hammer, and screwdriver (no power tools).
