Yosemite with Bernard and friends, April 2001

I went to Yosemite with Bernard and two of his friends in April 2001.  Later I found out that one of the friends had directed a porno movie!  Just minutes from home we stopped for gas and Bernard drove away from the pump without removing the nozzle from his car.  He sheepishly picked it up and gave it to the perplexed attendant, mumbling something about finding it on the ground.

We all went up the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal and Nevada Falls the first day.  On the second day I went up Yosemite Falls.  On the way down I took a picture of Pete from Vermont who had walked to the top barefoot!  Quite a feat!

Casey walks from Yosemite Point back towards the trail at the top of Yosemite Falls.  From my attire, you can surmise that it was a beautiful day.  I planned to jog to the top, but that delusion only lasted about 10 minutes.  After about an hour of power hiking I made it.

Vermont Pete walked to the top of Yosemite Falls barefoot!  Most people won’t do it without 5-pound boots, he is my hero!
