Puget Sound, January 2000 

In January Bernard, Thawacachi, Emily and myself converged at SEATAC (Seattle/Tacoma) airport, each arriving on different flights from different cities.  We promptly rented a car and drove to Bruce’s cabin on the Hood Canal were we stayed for 2 nights and 1 day.  The highlight of the trip was of course the seafood.  We gathered oysters at low tide and trapped crab that Bernard and Emily transformed into wonderful treats.

Put raw chicken in the traps, go out in the kayak, drop the traps, pick them up a few hours later and viola!

Seafood dinner is served.  Bernard is in green, Thawacachi in white, and Emily is the hand.

OOOOH!  That was so cooooooold water!  Yet I had to go in and swim far enough out for a good picture.
