Washington DC, January 1998
Actually, I flew out to spend some time with Emily in Columbia,
Maryland where she lived with her grandparents for her last two years of
high school after coming back from Taiwan. Her grandfather passed
away during the trip, however it was not sudden so all of the family was
able to come out and be with him for his last days. During the
trip Emily and I were able to take some day trips to visit some places I
had never been to. A few of the better photos are shown below.
| Emily and Han Solo at the
Smithsonian. She is quite the Harrison Ford fan, along with Sean
Connery, Will Smith, Viggo Morensen...
| I
enjoy the Return of the Jedi exhibit knowing that the picture of the
redwoods behind me was taken in the woods near where I grew up.
| This
is the second day in a row we came to the Capitol.
It was sunny today, tee-shirt weather actually but the previous
day it was freezing cold.
| Speaking
of tee-shirt weather, some guy shows how small the Washington Monument
really is.
| Lincoln
Memorial. One of my
favorite photos.
| Excited
to see a blaze indicating that this is the Appalachian Trail in
Shenandoah National Park.
| Curly
haired freak and a waterfall somewhere in Shenandoah National Park.
| An
inappropriate pose somewhere
in Gettysburg.
| James
Dean poses with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in the background.
| Leon,
Casey, and Lian (left to right) with two white friends in Columbia,
Maryland. |
